A story of love and resistance. Selim, captivated by Leyla whom he first glimpses in a school corridor, declares himself in a letter — and their romance unfolds against the political violence of Turkey in the late 1960s and early 1970s. As turmoil and the struggle for freedom pull the couple apart, their love feeds their resistance and their resistance strengthens their love.
